Lorcan nodded, his expression hard to read. He was surprised, relieved for Corrie's sake, and selfishly, a little disappointed, because if Corrie had insisted on leaving he could have crashed, but none of that came through clearly because he was also tired.
"Okay," he said. He levered himself to his feet and headed for the door, which opened for him. Looking back, he said to Corrie, "Just relax and let Min take care of you. She's good at that." He patted Min's doorway, and then straightened up so that he wouldn't look so tired as he left.
He returned a bit more than half an hour later riding tandem on the healer's broom, carrying a bag overflowing with fish and chips. He didn't know about Corrie, but he'd had no dinner, and the smell from the shop had proven too much for him. The healer had seemed to approve of the stop, which luckily hadn't taken long.
