He moved to the window, laying his head against the cool glass hoping the cool surface would calm him down and calm his thoughts. Hoping the glass would soak in something right to say for once, but it did nothing. He could only picture her walking out, case in hand so what happened next was pretty much out of his control. With a frustrated yell, his fist went through the two inch thick window, shattering a large hole from impact. He pulled his hand back, staring at the hole, not paying much attention to his hand with glass shards stabbing at his hand and laying underneath his flesh, in fact the pain did so much to relieve him from that feeling, it was getting him back in the mind frame that everyone hated but was his own dark protector.
With dark eyes, he gave one last look at the bedroom before moving down the stairs where he went into the kitchen and grabbed a beer, not interested in seeing her off. He went down to the basement, not bothering to turn on a light. He just found a dark corner and sat it in, opening his drink and allowed himself a large swallow, laying his head back he closed his eyes and tried to relax.
He finally gave up. He couldn't make her happy, he tried to change but look where that got him and he didn't want to see her leave. She was the only thing he really had left anymore and he hated himself for letting that happen. He hated completely depending on her. Now what did he have? He gave up everything he knew for her. Moved them out somewhere nice, he was stuck there now. Stuck with two jobs, stuck with everyone knowing that he was so worthless he couldn't even keep Shay the fourth time around, nor would he be in his baby's life.
That feeling came back, seemed the pain and the alcohol were only a temporary fix and soon tears were in his eyes. He pulled his legs up to his chest and his head head in his lap, breathing heavily, trying to gain control of himself. But sadly, much like the first time he felt this way with her walking out, the only thing that would help was him being completely shitfaced. One, he didn't have THAT much beer and two, what he did have was upstairs and he didn't want to go up there and run the risk of watching her leave.
