Tapping the quill against her chin in thought, Lucia tried to remember all of the cases she had heard while working the last few weeks. "Oh, I had meant to ask why you accioed the dog. Has your magic been acting up tonight as well?" she asked, tilting her head slightly. Magical mishaps had been happening more and more frequently lately, especially around London.
"Well, I tried to cast a shielding charm. I've never really thought of it being a fire affinity, but I suppose anything is possible. I had never thought to look up what makes up spells like that..." Moving to lean her face against her hand, she hissed in pain. Blisters had appeared on her palms and fingers, coloring her hand a dangerous red.
"Apparently I'm more injured than I thought." Lucia gasped, dropping the quill in pain. With the adrenaline exiting her system, her hands began to ache from the close proximity to the blast almost instantly.
Gritting her teeth, Lucia tried to keep a clear head. "Do you think we should try St. Mungos?"
