Feeling slightly bad for threatening to hex the dog, Lucia gave it a small scratch before nodding at Lorcan's suggestion. It would be easier to spot someone looking for a dog if they were around less people.
"That sounds like a good plan to me. Why don't you lead the way? After all, you are the one carrying the dog. It might see it's owner and head towards them itself." Glancing around quickly to make sure the owner wasn't nearby as they spoke, Lucia let out a startled "Lorcan!" as a firework veered off course and directly toward them.
Holding up her hands to protect herself, she screamed, "PROTEGO!" on reflex. A burst of flames shot outwards, burning her skin but effectively stopping the stray rocket before it could hit them. Shaking her hands to try and stop the stinging, she could only look at Lorcan in amazement.
"Um, I wasn't expecting that to happen." Shushing the now reanimated dog, Lucia shrugged her shoulders. "I guess we should find it's owner sooner rather than later. We don't know when the next unexpected burst of magic will happen, and it might be better if we don't have a dog to be responsible for when it does."
