Who: Albus and Dorian Where: The Leaky Cauldron When: Night time say... eleven pm on July 28th Private/Public: Private but since it is a pub, people can say they were there and witnessed it. Summary: Dorian called Albus's kid a bastard and Albus is dead set on kicking his butt Rating: I wouldn't go over PG-13, well R at the most for violence and cursing. Nothing too bad.
Things were happening a bit fast and his mind was racing. Albus just wasn't in a very good place right now. He was trying his best, he really was. He was trying to take care of his responsibilities, while giving Shaylyn the space she needed to settle in. He was wanting to pick up more hours at the Ministry. He was trying to figure things out in his head and how to handle things, trying to make the right decisions, but he wasn't.
He was confused. He thought he really didn't want the kid. He thought it was going to be something that WAS a burden that he was going to have to take care of but when Dorian said what he had, it fueled a rage in him that he had never felt before. He was inconsolable with anger. Of course on top of it all, he HAD been drinking. He had bought a bottle of whiskey to help him think. Now, he wasn't drunk in any way but it was enough to influence his actions. Had he not been drinking, he probably could have shrugged it off.
Now he probably still would have been livid at Nott but he would have thought more logically. He had a job, he had a loan coming too. He had a girlfriend who frowned on violence... of course unless she was the one doing the beating. He had a BABY on the way. He would know that any decision to take action just wasn't worth it. He had too much to lose. However those were not his thoughts at the moment. Albus didn't even both to shut the door behind him, he left it wide open as he stormed out of the flat and into the night air with harmful intent in his eyes.
It wasn't long, sadly, before he was at the Cauldron's doorstep. Why sadly? Because had it been a longer trip, a more difficult trip, maybe he would have thought better about the idea of what he was going to do. It was in a public place for Merlin's sake! What was he hoping to accomplish? He probably could have turned back and went home but no, he was still high strung as he pushed the doors open and forced his way into the pub and through a few people who were standing in his way.
Albus was very magically trained. He could duel with the best of them. After all, he was a hitwizard.
...Was being the word. No one would have taken his quitting seriously more than likely but after what was going to happen, he was pretty much fired and he knew that but he really didn't care.
However magic was not on the menu, not for him anyway. Magic had been screwing up way too much and something worse could possibly happen than a black eye. So he wanted to stay away from that all together. As far as physical strength went, Albus wasn't the strongest admittedly. But he did have a gym membership where he took advantage of the classes there. Now he didn't lift weights, that was obvious. But he did go to classes that dealt with fighting. Why? Because what happened if you were in a situation and your wand was thrown from you? Would you stand there or try to fight? Albus was dead set on fighting. So while he wasn't a championship warrior, he did know how to handle himself and when his eyes set on Dorian, he made that known.
Most fights started with a lot of smack talk. Threats, taunts and the like but not this one. He merely walked up to the male he had went to school with, made a fist and without warning, cracked Dorian right in the eye while his leg kicked behind Dorian's own leg, forcing him to the ground where Albus, ignoring the yells of the bartender, kicked Dorian in his side while on the floor.
"Now tell me AGAIN what you said about my child." Albus demanded. You know if you would have told him the day he found out that Shaylyn was pregnant, that he would have risked everything to just punch some bloke who spoke about the baby with Albus's exact thoughts? He'd have laughed in your face.
Yeah Albus wasn't innocent either, he had not so nice thoughts concerning the unborn child... but that was justifiable. That was his kid and he'd be damned if someone was going to threaten it or belittle it in front of him.
"GET UP!" He yelled at Dorian before pointing his finger at one of the patriots. "If you step between us, I'll beat your arse too!" Albus snapped, of course... he wouldn't. He had to force himself to draw the line somewhere but right now, his anger was focused on Dorian.
