Aidan didn't catch Albus's first comment. If he had he wouldn't have known what to say. Aidan didn't consider himself to be similar to his father, but in some ways he was. He wasn't willing to admit it and probably never would. The main similarity he had was his stubbornness, which was the reason he wouldn't admit similarities. That was the main reason they were at odds with each other most of the time. Neither he nor his father wanted to be wrong and it led to some draw out arguments.
He looked around the bar, noticing a few interesting people around, but no one in particular stood out. It didn't help that his vision was starting to blur. For all he knew he could've been missing someone, but he hoped that didn't offend anyone. He would deal with that if it came up. He chuckled when he realized he was happy. He tended to laugh when he got drunk. He stopped drinking momentarily and just focused on his breathing. The air always smelled differently when he was drunk or perhaps it just his perception of it that changed. Knocking back that many drinks in a short amount of time had some strange effects on him.
"Or?" he inquired, but before he could get an answer or hear the rest of Albus' comment a noise interrupted their conversation. Aidan cringed momentarily when he heard a high pitch squeak. He had really sensitive ears and that squeak wasn't the most soothing sound in the world. "Yes, they do. I'm sure it inspires some of their music. Famous people in general get laid a lot. That's my impression at least," he replied.
Next thing he knew he was being dragged by Albus towards a makeshift stage. He managed to maneuver his way out of his seat without tripping too badly. His right foot was momentarily caught in the stool, but he removed it without hurting himself. He didn't want to fall on the ground either. He wasn't that drunk. Aidan eyed the makeshift stage he was now facing. He really enjoyed singing so this was going to be a lot of fun.
"I didn't realize tonight was karaoke night."
Then he heard Albus' final comment and said, "Really? They have our jam? We must sing it! We must entertain the masses with our dashing good looks, charming personas and amazing singing voices." He wasn't usually the gloating type, but this was a special occasion. How many times would the two of them be able to get on a stage and sing together in such an exuberant manner?
Aidan joined Albus on the stage. "Are you ready?" He moved over towards a microphone, position himself in front of it, obviously preparing himself for the moment when the music would go on, and then looked around the room, smiling at the awaiting crowd.
