Presentation is important. Whether it's a guest or a business associate, judgments are formed based on your home and your placement within. Glengda avoided using any of her own magic while tidying up, but rather borrowed Philby, who bobbed along behind her, wringing her tea towel in an effort not to criticize the way it was throwing off her schedule.
By 3:00, Glengda was posed artfully in her study, a tea tray charmed (by Philby) to stay warm on a decorative table, reading a light novel that was appropriate for a classy, educated woman (Glengda found it terribly dull).
At 3:15, the floo made a sound as someone was redirected from the central floo in the living room to the one in her study. Hopefully it wouldn't be some unexpected house guest, but that was a calculated risk. Indeed, it was the woman Glengda had met at the ministry affair, dressed in a Muggle fashion.
Glengda snapped her book closed and stood in one movement, allowing the folds in the skirt of her robe to spin as she smiled at her... guest.
