It wasn't every day that Roxanne received an owl at work, or at any time, for that matter. She saw her coworkers at work, and there was a messy and complicated and message board in the employee area of each of the departments in case someone wanted to leave a note. Or there were cell phones, which the head of Poisoning was determined everyone should have on hand at all times. So it was a surprise when the mediwitch on duty caught her attention on the way to check on a patient and told her there was an owl for her, waiting for a reply.
She thanked the mediwitch and went on to her patient as planned, but everything was healing as it should, so Roxanne was soon heading back to the owl cubbyholes and her mysterious message. It only became slightly less mysterious when she read it. Grimstone - ah yes, the blonde woman with the fashionable shoes. What could it be about? She had never been asked for a private consultation by anyone who wasn't family, though those came often enough.
"Amply rewarded" seemed to be worded specifically to pique her interest - particularly her greed. But the writing, and the haughty wording of House Grimstone, from an institution and not a person, implied that the sender could follow through on their promise.
The time was right, at least. Her schedule for the day let her off work at 3pm, and Roxanne had no other pressing engagements. She penned a quick reply to ensure the floo to House Grimstone would be open at a quarter past three, and another (sent by a hospital owl) to Victoire to inform her that she would be late coming home, and why. Then she went back to work for the remainder of her shift.
3:14 found her stepping into one of the public floos off the entrance hall of the hospital, out of her eye-searing robes and wearing a simple, professional-looking pair of slacks and blouse. "House Grimstone," she said, and the floo powder whirled her away.
