There was a shrill ring from his jacket pocket, cutting Ken off in mid-sentence. "What?" he pulled out his phone and with an apologetic smile to Asha, answered it. "Yes? Mum? What? Yes... all right... okay, yes, I can... be there soon."
"Sorry," he said after the call ended. "Seems like Mum has a plumbing emergency only I can fix," there was slightly puzzled and faintly concerned look in his eyes. "I better go... it was good to talk to you though."
