Taking a swallow, Lucia sighed contently as the brandy traveled down her throat. She had never been much of a drinker, but a glass or two in her stomach would certainly help get her through the rest of the night.
"The chameleonbird was quite a fascinating adventure to read about. Did you real sneak it into Hogwarts, Lorcan? I can't believe no one ever found out!" she giggled, feeling more confident by the minute.
"I do agree with you though, Mrs. Scamander. Looking into the future has always been better than thinking about the past." Regarding her hostess with a gleam of admiration, Lucia couldn't help but feel as though she was talk to a wise woman from one of the Scamander's books.
Although Luna said things in an roundabout way, many of her views were perceptive and insightful. She said things that seemed to make no sense at all, but there was always a look in her eyes that asked if you truly understood what she was saying in the first place. The constant quandary made her think, and Lucia enjoyed every minute of it.
"If I may ask, where do you two plan to travel next? Somewhere exotic and full of adventure, I hope?"
