As the night wore on, more and more students arrived, enjoying the decorations and music as they commented on what others were wearing and who'd come with whom. They ate, drank and danced the hours away completely unaware of the storm ranging louder and louder outside the castle.

In time Vance decided to make his move, he was well aware that the students of Allaira and the faculty were used to such storms they were not used to them actually being able to affect the inside of the castle. Which was exactly what Vance was going to allow. Unnoticed by anyone at the party he used a spell of his own creation to break a hole in magical protection of the school.

The sounds of the storm instantly overpowered the music playing in the hall and winds pressed against the glass planes of the windows. Within minutes the castle went dark and the sounds of laughter were replaced by screams and confusion. There were small patches of light were students and teachers had lit their wands.

The chaos was reigned slightly when Headmaster Allaira managed to get the attention of the students and announced the end of the ball, sending all the students back to their rooms. As the hall began to empty everyone was unaware of the aphrodisiac potions that had been mixed with mints served all night were already beginning to work its mischief.

(OOC: So as with large threads, its tends to get confusing and orders get all sorts of out of hand, with skipping people and stuff, so here's the deal. If more then one character is in a sub-thread, please, please, please, wait your turn. Do not skip anyone. I feel that is we just break into mini threads for each couple, we're going to end up not reading each others treads and that's not really how I'd like the game to progress. Kinda defeats the purpose. That and then interaction is strictly between two chars and no one else. Which also, isn't how I would like the game to go. So I would like to start the party within this large thread, so students would arrive, interact mingle, and then whenever you feel it, you can break your chars off into another thread to do what you want. The mods will be making another post with more updates as the night progresses. So enjoy! And let the madness begin!)
