A giggle escaped her lips as Vi tried to bolt away, but of course he was right on her heels. Tay had always had a habit of anticipating her moves, which the matchmaker in her knew meant they had amazing chemistry. Fighting how she felt about him was fighting everything in her body; hell everything in her very nature. It was almost like Viola was built for him, and the same went the opposite way. Yet she didn't know that kind of closeness; she didn't know how to deal with it on her own. So she'd pushed Tay away, which haunted her every single day. Except right now. Right now she was laughing and carefree, and not willing to fight with him smiling at her the way he'd used to.
Seconds before she tumbled to the ground due to her not paying attention as she tugged at her arm, Vi nearly froze when that nickname left his mouth. That simple word pulled at her heart, and she was helpless to keep her feet after hearing that. A cry escaped her as she tumbled, but Tay's arms around her kept the fall from scraping her exposed body. When they landed, Vi felt the wind rush out of her in a rush due to the impact and his weight on top of her. Sucking in a breath, she looked up into his eyes as the intimate position caused her already pounding heart to flutter and speed up. She couldn't stop herself from looking into those eyes, before her gaze flicked to Tay's mouth briefly. Biting her lip, she didn't know what to say, except that he looked so damn good poised above her. Her body remembered Halloween almost instantly, and Vi was powerless to resist as he closed that distance and pressed his lips to hers. Without hesitation, she relaxed beneath him, arms encircling his larger frame as she all but melted around him while her lips responded to his tenderly.
