"There was no threatening involved," Gerard insisted, instantly defending himself before he wound up smirking a bit. "Okay, maybe there was a little threatening. But I came on my own." He definitely didn't want Pierce to think he couldn't exist without his girl by his side. He loved Mercy and wanted to be with her all the time, but he understood what she was saying about being with friends. It was important, and he had commitments to worry about whether he liked it or not. Gerard could spend one afternoon away if it meant he gained a reward from his girlfriend. Thinking about that prize was motivation enough.
His gaze traveled to the half pipe, where he was silent for a few minutes as he just watched Chester go and do his thing, along with all the other guys scattered around in various stages of seriousness. He wasn't aware of his friend's problems involving Kali, which was likely a good thing. Gerard wasn't the typical scary older brother, but he could be protective when the situation warranted it.
As Pierce spoke again, his eyes trailed up to where J.A. was teaching the hot little veela all about snowboarding. Smirking in amusement, he nodded, though tried not to cringe too much at the reminder about his little sister and his friend during the dance. "I have a feeling if any girl at this school can handle sporting such a bulls eye, it's Lia." Gerard had no doubt the little vixen would come out unscathed. "Audrey would scare me if I were a chick, but I'm not sure how girls work with all that jealousy crap," he said with a shake of his head. If they were broken up then why be pissed at the people he moved onto instead of J.A. himself?
