WHO: Regulus, Aurora
WHERE: If only Reg knew
WHEN: January 11, evening
SUMMARY: A need to have some grown up company leads Regulus to ask Aurora out alone unexpectedly.
RATING: TBD
It had taken some doing, going out with Aurora tonight, but Regulus thought it was wholly worth it. For ten days he had barely left Carina's side, first out of a paranoia that that if his gaze moved off of her for an instant that she would disappear, and then out of her growing accustomed to the company and enjoying it. However, not leaving her side for ten days had left him, selfishly, craving adult conversation, and his thoughts had turned to Aurora. There was something there, something tangible that he could feel--that he prayed they both felt--and yet neither of them had dared to voice an acknowledgment of it.
And now here he was. He was about to set out with Aurora on what most might deem a 'date' and absolutely unsure of what to do. His original idea had been to surprise her with his astronomy knowledge, but as nothing eventful had been happening in the stars that was a dud before it even went anywhere near a plan. He had tossed around several other ideas, but shot them down too. It wasn't until she was at Narissa's house that he even got very far in the planning on how he would spend this day out. However, seeing her, he knew it had to gradual.
So that's why he chose a tea shop rather than a restaurant. There were things to order if she was hungry (though for some reason Regulus's stomach was churning with what Muggles called butterflies so he knew he wouldn't need anything to eat)but it had a much more relaxed atmosphere, as though it were used for casual meetings and friendly things rather than dates. Regulus shook his head, he wasn't even sure why he was using that word, he knew Aurora likely didn't think of their excursion as a date at all.
"Here we are..." he said, opening the door of the shop for her.
