Re: THE FOYER
Truthfully Julian hadn't been expecting much when he'd finally learned where they were going because seriously how exciting could an old manor be? The jury was still out, but he had to give the place its due, it was interesting and creepy looking all at the same time. Not obviously so but if you looked closer at the detail you could definitely see it.
He didn't know where the rest of his family was which was both a good thing (because mother of all that was holy that car ride had been interesting to say the least) but also a bad thing as Julian didn't like not knowing where they were. At home it was easy enough to tell as you had a sixth sense about where people were, but in this place? All bets were off.
Julian hadn't strayed too far from the foyer as he'd stopped dead in the middle with hands in pockets and head tilted until his eyes were fixed on the art which covered every inch of the ceiling. He felt strangely at home but at the same time not, he was a Cain after all, acceptance and displacement were two very conflicting ideas.
He had earphones in, music playing, and he was also chewing gum. So much for the sanctity of the manor, but Julian was confident that it had seen worse and had worse.
