Taran had learned at a young age that weakeness could be something an enemy used against you, and it was something that a protector could could ill afford to have in excess around them. So while he was a man full of emotions, of feelings, he kept them under control most of the time, behind well built and placed walls, not only for his own well being but to protect others, especially those he truly cared about.
So after the attack at the Ward estate, he'd been injured, and why he was truthful when he said he'd been injured and was doing better, but hadn't said just how bad he'd been hurt. The reason he'd been gone so long was mostly because he couldn't travel before he had. He didn't want to worry Devon or Meredith, or any of the Wards to how bad he'd been hurt. But after some time, he'd made his way from England to New York, and finally to Seattle.
No one had really told him what was going on, which was fine by him for a bit. The one thing he couldn't stomach was the bloody Hunters here. Here, with the others. It made his skin crawl, and his gut told him the ones who'd attacked were here, or close to those who were. He had plenty to say about a few subject as well. He was slowly checking with with people but he was okay with taking some time in the beginning. Taran had settled into his room and now was wandering around the Manor, definitely larger that it looked initially. He was annoyed with some places he couldn't get to but tabled those for later.
He'd wandered to the foyer and main floor and then a bar. It was barely noon, but he poured himself a nice glass of Scotch he found and sat for a moment.
