He looked up as the glow of a cherry caught his eye, the flare from the inhalation briefly illuminating the features of Julian Cain. Cole hadn't really had much to do with him before now, having dealt primarily with Mina.
Necromancy. It made him shiver a little bit, and sympathise to a small degree with Peyton's thoughts on the unbridled power that magic had. Life and death should be God's preserve alone, he thought.
"Julian," he said by way of greeting, with a nod. "What happened to your face?"
He motioned at the graveyard with his head, and began walking into it, keeping the flashlight off for now. Generally, he found that it was best that anything you hunted couldn't see you coming thanks to a giant beam of light, but he was old-school in that way.
"So, could be a couple of things, if it is shadowkind," he said as they walked, keeping his voice relatively low. "Likely wraiths, though. Which means this," he pulled the taser from his pockets and hit the button, the air around them filling with the scent of burned air and the crackle of electricity, "will come in handy. And anythin' you might be able to contribute from that there Domain of yours."
He pocketed the taser once more, and surveyed the route ahead of them. The cemetery was around 40 acres in size, but he'd managed to narrow down the specific areas that sightings of strange things had been reported from. It seemed like a cluster of crypts near the centre was ground zero.
