She approached the cup like it might reach out and grab her and he didn't hide how that really raised the stakes of the situation. Her smile didn't really reassure him but he was sure his earnest concern was an amusing sight so he broke down and smiled back, a little self consciously. This morning smoothies had become his craft, however temporarily, and he was always very serious about his craft.
Still, in this moment he had to admit that a million really shitty smoothies on his reputation were worth it to see her happy after what she went through.
One sip. Two. Three. That had to be a good sign and just as he was thinking it she was confirming it out loud. He lit up at her response, "Yeah?" taking it from her when it was offered to have a taste himself. It really was good. He could suffer through this one more than once and not even complain about it. He gave her a look over the cup and raised his brows to show his surprised agreement just when someone came around the corner. Someone who was not part of their little world, and something private and sincere about his expressions dimmed.
He was still a pretty nice seeming guy when he put the cup down and rubbed at his mouth with the back of his sleeve. "Hey, can I help you?" and the stranger looked a little sheepish like he knew he had interrupted something but he said that he was having trouble with something and didn't want to make it worse before he came for help.
Sully inwardly groaned, 'something' was never a good thing to have trouble with, he just hoped the something wasn't in the bathroom. He really needed to hire staff. He gave his acknowledgement to the stranger who seemed to get the message and stepped out of the room to wait, giving him a chance to genuinely turn back to Tabitha.
"Sorry about that I should go check it out. Call of duty and all that. Hey I'm sure you have to get out of here anyway but it was really good to see you, make sure you drop by again sometime alright?" he started towards the opening that separated them from the room now holding the stranger and he turned back as an after thought to say "And don't clean anything!" just incase she got any ideas.
