A cloud in the room had dissipated some but not lifted, he knew it wouldn't lift with any remedy other than time, he was just happy he could help at all. So he took the chocolate when it was offered, popping it in his mouth before it could start melting all over his hand.
When his smoothie expertise came into question though he had to stick up for himself "There goes my dream of opening a rival for Smoothie King, I guess I can't quit my day job then." and he laughed it off, accepting her squeeze of thanks before he moved back behind the counter and regarded his mess of an experimentation zone.
"You're right though, I don't get a lot of health conscious people in here. The ones who come in that aren't one of us are usually control freaks or hobbyists who are.... something else entirely. I burn through a lot of whiskey, mostly."
A frown suddenly dawned on him as he turned and opened the little freezer cabinet. Inside was the shambles of what used to be a bag of ice and only that solitary one. "Speaking of whiskey it looks like I might have to make a run for more rocks." and he turned to take the cup of chocolate honey that he'd whipped up earlier, taking a sip and wrinkling his nose. Oh yeah it was pretty tangy.
