They stepped into the large entry room and all he could think was that it smelled like chaos and opportunity. Crowded places like this were his element and they put him right at ease. He couldn't remember the last time in his life that he had felt real fear but he knew that every time he walked into a room like this he experienced the stark opposite, elation.
His darling sister's offer for popcorn snapped him out of his basking moment and he didn't consider a second before responding "Salted." and turned his attention again to the room with interest to the task at hand.
There were a few workers lounging around or milling about but one caught his eye in particular. The quiet slight boy over near the soda machines attracted a lot of attention by willing himself to be invisible and failing horribly. Aloysius was attracted to him like a shark with blood in the water and he didn't waste time to move in, approaching him where he was leaning against the counter containing drink accessories and standing too close for comfort but in just such a way that there was little method of escape that wouldn't be very awkward. Trapped like a rat. Lo did his best not to laugh.
"Excuse me I noticed you weren't very busy from across the room. But that's the most strange thing because" he took a moment here to let his hand glide over the speechless worker's and rest there on the counter, he felt his hand flinch underneath him but before he could pull away Lo had already pinned him in more ways than just social graces. "I could swear you were going to get my sister and I tickets to The Muppets, weren't you?"
They were the little moments he lived for, the way the boy nodded dumbly and then pulled away to scurry off and do what he had been suggested. His mind was like a cracked vase and Lo filled it with water. Painfully easy. Chances were he didn't have to go as far as he did but it was more fun that way. By the time Ally was coming back with the popcorn he would have tickets in hand and the little worker he'd taken advantage of would be nowhere to be seen. No need to make her prematurely uncomfortable with his little mental exercises.
