Her desire to avoid talking about her dilemma was a comfort but he couldn't help thinking that it wouldn't do her any good. Their house was going to be filled with only talk about this event and -even worse- pointed not talking about it in the near future. At least he could pride himself in being one of the only ones who would be able to talk about it out in the open and then move on like a civilized person. Worse things had happened in the Ward family than being kicked out of a stuffy school and he felt like he might understand a little more than the others, but he hadn't gotten kicked out himself and he wasn't going to comfort her about it or anything that was for sure. Let her wallow a little... maybe it built character or some other panderingly ridiculous cliche.
Now his mind was entirely taken with the mayhem they could wrap themselves into. That was where he would choose to stay entirely if he had such a choice.
"I've done a little sleuthing to discover that they're still using film reels in theaters. Can you believe that in this digital age?" he smirked and then shrugged as he continued "That may as well be their downfall. Film reels are entirely more fun to switch than discs." not to mention if they wanted they could take a little time and have the movies cut together to make a real horror situation.
This would of course end up with them using their powers on the undeserving but that was one of his favorite passtimes and he didn't plan on telling her that part until it was upon them. He was an ask forgiveness not permission type in the most strictly metaphorical way, he never actually asked for forgiveness either. Usually he just found a way to make the person accusing him feel stupid or guilty.
