It was no secret for those that had come to know Whiskey Dillinger. When October rolled around, you either loved her or you hated her. Or you tolerated her. So while it might now be much different from other times of the year, this time of year it wasn't the same either. Mainly because at this time of year, Whiskey made sure all the Halloween decorations came out, the Halloween movies were on record and playing whenever she had a moment and, more often than not, Halloween music was playing anywhere she was at. Usually it was the soundtracks to The Nightmare Before Christmas, Hocus Pocus and other Halloween themed movies. This was her favorite holiday, hands down. No arguments needed. For the moment, with the break she was currently on, the former circus performer was sitting with her feet kicked up on the back of the couch... upside down with a laptop in her lap and fingers typing away madly. Anyone who didn't know the young woman for the dangerous machine she could become at the flip of a coin would think she was nothing more than a harmless girl without a thought in her head. Most of the time Whiskey played on that to her greatest advantage. With the classic Looney Tunes Halloween specials on the television behind her (and upside down in her field of vision), Whiskey was diligently searching for the perfect Halloween costume. Something that would look awesome. Something that would look sexy. Something that was superhero based. Marvel was her favorite, but DC would do as well. Hell, even Dark Horse comics would work. So, something geeky as well. Why? Because that was who she was. A little bit superheroish (without the super powers), a little bit sexy (or so she'd been told) and a little bit geeky... Okay, a whole lot of geeky. "Let's see... Poison Ivy? No. Harley Quinn? Nah, I wouldn't look good as a blonde. Quake? Possibility. Zatanna? Maybe. Gamora looks neat..." Yeah... anyone who knew Whiskey Dillinger also knew she had a penchant for talking to herself on the regular. She always eplained it as having a conversation with an intelligent person when another couldn't bother to be found. |
