"Blah blah blah," Alex responded, waving his hands in the air, barely paying attention to Olivia. He'd gotten the lecture before from his teachers and his older sister, and none of it had ever sunk in. He wasn't failing school, but he was just barely passing. And it'd always been a sort of given that whenever he took over the family business, there'd be others to do all the 'hard' work for him.
It wasn't like he wanted the business. Thankfully, his father was always far too busy and preoccupied to pay much attention. "You only have one life. Might as well enjoy it, yeah?"
