Who: Jane and Roald What: Climbing a tree! When: Afternoon Where: South Quad Rating: SFW
Jane looked at the monitor of her computer, absently smiling to herself as she and Roald agreed to meet up. They had been good friends in her freshman year – wild and reckless she was back then. However, ever since the…incident, she couldn’t find it in herself to be the same girl she was before. Because of this, she and Roald didn’t necessarily stop being friends, but they grew apart, and she felt a mixture of both guilt and sadness because she remembered how fun it was to be around him. Calling it awkward between them would be an understatement. But since she mentioned a particular event in the past, it felt better. She logged off, looking at the clock and discovering that she had a couple of hours until she would meet up with her old friend. She moved to sprawl over her mattress, taking the moment to reminisce in all the trouble that had gotten together. And then she wondered…what did he think of her now? Was he angry that they had stopped talking? It had been roughly two years. What did he think about it?
When it was near one o clock, she garbed herself into more suitable apparel, which consisted of her green Vans, denim shorts, and a v-neck shirt. It was simple, but she certainly was not going to dress up fancy to climb a tree. She still had the scar on the back of her knee from the incident two years ago. Her teeth tightened her hemp bracelet whilst she sauntered out of the building, her extensive raven hair swathing over her face. Occasionally blowing at the tenacious tresses, she ambled towards the south quad, walking at an unusual fast pace. Once she caught sight of Roald, a crooked grin formed in the corner of her lip. “Hi,” she said once she got close enough. So…was she supposed to hug him? Shake his hand? Give him a high five? Jane mentally slapped herself. That was stupid. So instead, she waved a little. “So where is this infamous tree? You think I can handle it?” she chuckled.
