Shelby wondered what Alex really thought of the women at Ainsworth. She'd seen him with many different dates at parties and he'd shown no signs of getting exclusive with any of them. Maybe all his talk of quality meant the female student body wasn't up to his standards. She resolved to keep an eye on him this semester to see if her suspicions proved true.
"Speaking of quality, I heard Omega Tau's going to rush really hard for guys next semester," she said, changing the subject. "Better watch out they don't leave your fraternity short of quota."
Selby didn't personally care where the new class of men pledged. Her sorority wasn't connected to a specific fraternity the way Beta Kappa was to Alex's organization Sigma Phi, so she wasn't worried about her own dating pool being reduced. But she'd learned from her grandmother's stories of old school days that Greek life suffered when any one group grossly outnumbered another.
