Mornings weren't really Alex's thing generally. Especially not mornings on a nice weekday when he didn't have class. But this particular morning, he'd been up at nine, which was ungodly early for someone like him, with an urge to iron his clothing. And after doing so for about half an hour, he began to feel bored.
So, after a quick shower, he dressed himself in a dark blue polo he'd just finished ironing and a pair of slacks and walked out the door. Northgate Mall was always interesting, no matter the time or date. And if it came down to it, he could always catch a movie or something.
He was on his way to the food court when someone familiar walked out of the jewelery store a few feet in front of him.
"You know, generally the man buys the jewelery for the woman," he commented, walking up from behind her.
