Re: Back Porch Onwards!
The Dark did not like being dismissed by what it considered it's rightful property.
The Light Child could heal, but first he needed a clean wound, and that Sydney could provide, lancing the rotting puss in Abel's heart.
The Dark did not understand patience or gentleness, and Sydney, crafted into it's most precious vessel, had never mastered the arts himself.
Like a striking snake he bypassed the child, claws sinking into Abel's chest even as the Dark tore through his heart straight for his soul.
You are mine Abel Nightroad. Crusnik is mine as well. breaking through the flimsy mental barriers, the Dark brought forth the sordid, ugly, painful past in all it's glory, hammering the man with the truth of himself. When it had exhausted the nightmares it sought the better times, the ones that made the ache all the more painful.
Finally, the Dark called up Lilith, from blood and memory it summoned her soul, the only one it could reach as the others, Esther and Ion still had breath.
Lilith, in all her glory, a sad sweet smile in place.
'Oh really Abel, haven't you hurt enough for both of us? It wasn't your fault. I never blamed you. I forgive you Abel. Can't you forgive yourself?
