Genna skidded to a stop just outside the door and peeked in. She'd managed to get away from lessons when she'd asked Ryben to a screaming contest which she'd let him win. And she might have bribed him with a lemon cake to maybe throw a pot of paints at the septa. Of course he'd missed but Genna had gotten coated in bright red (how the blue bits had gotten there she wasn't sure but Ryben had a talent for messes) and she had sobbed until the servants gave up and let her go fetch a new dress. It was a brilliant plan (except that her second favorite dress was ruined) and she wanted to tell Gwyn about it... that was until she saw the scene in Gwyn's sickroom.
Her eyes widened when she saw her fath--um, King William. She stepped backwards and hoped he hadn't seen her. The idea of explaining how her new white dress was covered in crimson paint, with some blue specks at the hem, was not something that was in the plan.
