Genna's sobs were quieter but her confusion wasn't any less. "P-princesses pray in the sept. Th-they said we had to, and the old gods can't h-hear here. I don't like the Sept," she confided in a whisper.
It wasn't true. She did like the Sept but it didn't feel right, not like a godswood. The Sept was pretty and fun and so bright, and the ceremonies were pretty. But she didn't like being told the Old Gods couldn't hear her.
