Kaelyn was bone weary and could no longer remember what it felt like not to be. A niggling thought at the back of her head had not brought her the joy she thought it would and she found herself choking back a prayer that the gods would not be so cruel, to take one and give another? She dared not even give it thought. She had stepped away from Gwyn's bed for only a moment but the shrieking made her wince. She had heard of Genna's behaviour and done nothing of it. Part of her understood it - she would scream too if she could get away with it. When she came across the Maester holding her struggling daughter she stared and came close as Genna screamed and squirmed, she did not take her daughter from the Maester but let her ride the tantrum out knowing as much energy as her daughters had this was not sustainable for over long. For the Maester's discomfort she had little regard.
She did not fuss or scold knowing neither would help and Genna likely would not hear her, she did hold out her hand to her daughter hopefully.
