"I'm not insinuating anything," said Toria with a grin. "I'm coming right out and saying that they love to gossip. Men do too, to some extent. Even if they pretend they're just going out for an evening of drinking or to hunt for the day. Women are encouraged to stay in, which means they're just going to be that much more attentive to local gossip."
Toria was not especially interested in spreading gossip, though it was interesting to overhear from time to time. Most of it was worthless, but once in a while it was absolutely true. Really, it depended on who the gossip was coming from.
"Or we could have them duel first and then share the songs they have written later," Toria suggested. "It would be a shame to deprive others of their talents on the violin simply because they lacked talent in writing lyrics to a ballad."
