"I dearly wish cousin Kaelyn would let Genna and Gwyn foster with me after Gwyn recovers. It would do them such good to see how life is in a proper Southron house and as you know, fostering with us in the Vale could result in nice matches for the two of them with our Vale lords, when the time comes."
Not that living in the Vale ever helped Hester make a match, but she was trying to sell the virtues of her home to anyone who asked in an attempt to get that match for herself. She'd noticed that the Tully lord was blissfully unattached, but drawing his eye away from Princess Elia was more than one simple Vale heiress could manage. She'd dropped that line long ago.
Other options included William himself--wouldn't that be quite the scandal? She kept that close to her, though, not wanting to seem a traitor. Surely there was a Lannister or two floating around in need of a wife.
"I just fear that Kaelyn will smother any attempts they have at being creative and anything other than a close-mouthed Northerner."
