It had been an unexpected surprise to be invited to one of Elia Martell's soirees and Hester had decided that her attendance was not merely requested, but mandatory. She knew far too few noblewomen of an age with her and with the illness of her small cousins, she hadn't gotten out nearly as much as she'd have liked. It was a nice break from the monotony to get to attend a party.
She dressed in vair of sky blue and white, an ermine cloak about her shoulders. It was far too warm for such garb but she would be removing the cloak as soon as she got inside and she wanted to make an impression on the ladies she was dining with--that was the only way to get anywhere, after all.
She smiled as she entered, wondering exactly who to talk to first.
