"I'll tell you what," said Toria. "Put on a dress so that you don't catch cold outside, and we can go out for a walk to find some seeds together. It doesn't even have to be a princess dress, since you really don't want to wear one. Just something to keep you warm."
Not to mention, something that would keep the court from gossiping. Her Uncle William did not need this.
"And I was thinking I would plant one tree for Gwyn, one tree for you, and one tree for me to show them that I am serious about my promise. Then perhaps we can seek out the Tyrells to ask them to loan the services of their gardeners. They really do have the finest gardens in the land, so I'm certain they'd know how to properly care for trees."
She was glad Genna seemed to like this plan. Hiring someone to plant some trees was much easier than trying to tell Genna that it was silly to call herself a Child of the Forest.
"Trees grow even slower than people do," she mused. "So we could care for our trees in pots in the palace at first, I think. Perhaps it would let the Old Gods watch over Gwyn more closely if there were some baby trees planted inside."
