Jenny winced at the tight grip on her arm, and struggled to keep up as Jorry dragged them across the open yard. She saw Gwyn stumbling and shot her twin a worried look. It was fine to be hate one another but right now Jorry was a lot scarier than Gwyn being silly.
The wagons loomed up over them and Jenny was near quaking in her shoes. Her steps were shaky too now. They were going to get a beating, she just knew it. Maybe... maybe they could get out of it. She didn't know how, though. Not with Jorry so angry. "We can fix it! We could go without the masks, like the players in Braavos do!" It was foolish but she was desperate not to get beaten. And it would be worse because everyone would go without dinner if they didn't perform.
She looked at Gwyn then. Her sister was better at convincing people, she'd know how to make Jorry see it was a good idea, or maybe she'd have time to think of something better.
