"I would appreciate that," said Tymor gratefully. "A scholar who cannot write is a miserable man indeed. Though I imagine my lord father will be thrilled that I'm forced to do something other than read and write, even if he's not thrilled about the cause behind it."
Socializing. Mingling. Tymor didn't have any official duties to attend to, per se, aside from anything that pertained to House Lannister's affairs when his father was too busy. Even then, his mother was available as well, and well accustomed to running Casterly Rock.

He left shortly after some of the Dornish lords became a little too friendly after politely declining, and switching the conversation to a more pleasant and less awkward subject. Being aware that the Dornish were very, very liberal in a number of ways was a little different than experiencing it first hand.
