The look on his face was too perfect. Aeria stumbled back, doubled over with laughter even as the book went up in flames. The distant thought that their father was going to have them both executed in the morning was still worth it. Then again, if the whole library went up, mother would kill them. A lifetime spent keeping her brothers from getting themselves killed kept her from thinking twice.
Aeria shrugged off her robe and flipped the book onto the stone floor. She slapped at the flames. It was just as quickly out. Though the unfortunate book... and the table... and her robe...
"And they expect you to lead armies?" she demanded with a raised brow.
