It was one of the Stark men-at-arms who came to tell Kaelyn of the current location of her younger daughter. The man could barely hold back his mirth, though Kaelyn didn't quite see what was so funny about her daughter cavorting naked in the garden.
She rather understood when she saw the scene in person. Though the scent of bath oils was enough to nearly send her and all three of her maids into a swoon. By all that was holy, how much scent had they... no, better not think about it. And the foam cascading over the sides of the fountain... Oh gods. They'd stopped it up.
Kaelyn's hand covered her mouth as she watched Genna tackle one of the boys. So much for the perfect princess ideal. That thought was quickly followed by several others: What in seven hells would she tell William? How was anyone going to salvage the fountain? One Septa was clearly not enough.
The lady in question was revived and standing pale and horrified next to Kaelyn. "Your Grace I- I am sorry. I cannot manage it. This- It's-- I-" Words failed Marien and she shook her head at a loss.
Kaelyn could sympathize. "Go see to Gwyn and Brandon. I relieve you of all responsibility for Genna- have your Mother superior send some other candidates. Older, experienced ladies." Would that someone could wave such a favor to the rest of them. She paused and considered before she asked anything further. "I don't suppose there's anything else I should know?"
... "A tadpole?" Kaelyn sighed. A headache was forming at the back of her skull.
She glanced at the maids, who'd been kind enough to fetch some towels and the appropriate mothers while she'd conversed with the Septa. Mathis' mother was present but Lucian as a page had a guardian who was not in the Keep apparently. Probably already slipped off to a brothel.
Steeling herself for the worst that was surely about to come, Kaelyn joined Mathis' mother in walking toward the errant children. The maids hung back with the towels and robes.
"This looks to be a merry party," Kaelyn said with deceptive calm.
