He'd heard enough of William's court for the day and slipped from the council chamber in a lull in the proceedings. He still had ears in the hall, where it mattered more than just the mutterings of the rest of the Council. Polonius paused to tug his gloves on. The days were growing swiftly cooler- summer was at an end. With the arrival of William's sister to court, he was interested to see what might unfold. Considering the council's advise to hold other people's sisters.... Penrose or Waters would soon recommend that William give his sister a couple guards. A wise idea perhaps, though not one like to be accepted. The emissaries from Lys would be arriving in a few days and Polonius misliked that- his breezes had carried only a forboding silence from the Dornish nobles. Prince Myrwin... well.. He wondered if Penrose had yet spoken to the prince on that score. Probably not. Penrose was ill and Polonius hadn't heard of it being due to a spear through any of his apendages.
