Tyrith couldn't help but recoil slightly. Still, the prince had a point. It had not escaped Tyrith that the Starks' position was safer with Aenyris gone- a pity as she would have made a fine wife for Tymor or Tyronne- but moreover whatever had befallen Elia, who was nothing if not a constant reminder of the past and less than friendly to the Starks' claim. And yet... could William have done this?
William was honorable to a point of foolishness and Tyrith could not think the man would have ordered such a horrifying death... and why then request his own bed be polluted with the grisly trophies the killer had handed round? ...
Tyrith's thoughts went then to his goodsister, Lyanora and her feirce Northron pride... but more to the silent, unyeilding countenance of William's wife. Would Kaelyn have wrought this horror? Surely not...
"I do not believe William is behind this, but I cannot say I have proof to hold to that," Tyrith said thoughtfully. "Only that Starks are not known for a fondness of assassins nor do they take prizes from their victims..."
But at Jaehaerys' mention of Elia, Tyrith had to clear his throat again. "I fear you may be unable to see her. Her guards have let none enter her chamber save Polonius since this morning. Though whether they are reacting only to this foul murder or something more I could not say."
