Where: Streets of King's Landing
When: Afternoon of Day 24
Status: Open
Rating: G, for now
Isobel had found that things were much easier now that she'd been taken under Elia Martell's gilded wing. She supposed that without the money of Starfall she'd never have been so lucky and even so, the Seven had been on her side. The name Dayne was still poison in many people's eyes and she got more than one look as she walked through King's Landing. Only Elia's protection could save her from the wolves and lions now.
Speaking of wolves and lions, she'd been meaning to send her regards to the royal family upon the news of their daughter's illness but, being as shy as she was, it was hard enough to pledge fealty, much less go out of her way to express condolences. In the end, she'd gotten Gillian to deliver a message to the queen expressing such, and smiled shyly when she saw the woman. She was kindly, and a cousin to the Arryns, so Isobel was grateful for ingratiating herself.
She'd made an appointment with Hester Arryn's dressmaker in order to get new finery, in hopes that the Dayne colors could be well hidden even though she had them stamped across her features. There wasn't much she could do to hide silver and violet, but she could stop wearing it at every turn. That would be a start.
Sky blue would be in bad taste, would it not? Oh, but to wear the Arryn colors--then, Arys would see she would suit as his wife. Of course, Hester and Alais might not take kindly to that. She'd not met the older Arryn sister, but if rumors were to be believed, she was more of a viper than the younger one. Perhaps they'd all been exaggerated.
How'd she manage to get in the bed with so many snakes? One would think she was still in Dorne.
