Thomas smiled at that. "Well played, my lady, but I'm a bit more fond of court now that I have such a lovely woman to pursue," he said, pulling the letter from his pocket. Should he give her this copy before sending his other to Myrwin? It would be the only way to secure her affections, it seemed.
"I've something for you," he said, finally deciding to bite the bullet and give her the letter. "I want you to see it before I embarrass myself by asking Myrwin for your hand. Are you willing, Princess Elia?"
