*Born from the Red Keep within a few hours of its delivery*
Brother, You know so many more things than I do, I cannot be prideful enough to believe you would require any aid of such scant knowlege as mine. No more can I understand the people's anger when their prince could so easily assuage it with a simple phrase. Indeed, it would seem my own grief must give way before such news as might be given. If our prince were only to have spoken it.
Beyond that, the people of Dorne and the people of Kings Landing have much in common. Here too there is anger and discontent although with storm decimating the harbor and the plague so soon after, little wonder the Starks are becoming unwelcome.
The Stark child still lays unconscious though the poison which holds her is something Lazralene tells me has not been seen truly since the Age of Heroes, but its making was not what it should be. There were mistakes, but the fact it was made at all bodes some great change coming on us with scaly wings I would imagine.
Isobel Dayne arrived and has been seen much in the company of Lord Arys Arryn. I suspect the Eyrie may be turning its lofty sights southward. Seven knows he can't be so mourning his wife as to be blinded by that lady's singular charms. I am ever so sad you've chosen to disregard her as a possible wife. Out of grief I have asked her to join my household. Better to keep an eye on her.
Kaelyn Stark's cousin Lady Hester Arryn is here and her sister Alais as well. Alais has a great love of books and interest in policy and politics beyond the bounds of Westeros, it seems. Something perhaps to remember. Hester has no regard for her cousin Kaelyn it is clear- a queen's place is at the helm of this court and increasingly it seems Hester will be the one holding the reins of fashion and fancy.
But most important of all, brother, your secrets are not yours alone now. Tyrith Lannister's daughter has the ears of a lynx and recognized a voice she had heard only in passing years earlier. Yet the great lion did not attack. He has joined in the secret with impressive oaths and yet he is himself. You and he fought against the rebels together... can we trust his word?
Oh, and I've had an offer of marriage several days back. I told him to bother you with it.
I miss the oranges. I would miss you if you were not a horrible, dreadful wretched creature for keeping such secrets. But I relent. I miss you. In spite of your horridness.
