Tyrith was silent as the Prince of Dragonstone examined his neice. Queen Aeria's detractors had on occasion mentioned how frequently those voting against her in council were indisposed at convenient times, and Tyrith had no doubt that Jaehaerys knew at least something of the art.
At the prince's pronouncement, he sighed. Part of him had hoped his daughter had only been chasing shadows. "So it is poison. Blast," he muttered. "I will speak with your mother," he answered Toria. That was a ocnversation destined to be interesting. Though rather less interesting than the one when he revealed that her daughter had found the Prince and that that he had sworn fealty to him over William.
"Your reward will be waiting, Jaer. I hope for all our sakes your remedy bears fruit."
