Jaehaerys muttered a lysene curse, and pushed a damp curl from the little girl's forehead. It was always the children that paid the true price for the thrones their parents coveted, but this was going too far. This poison on an adult would be a warning enough.
"Well enough. Don't let them try it, if you can help. No silver or mercury or she'll wake up mad if she wakes at all... if she'll even wake as it is," he sighed. "The antidote takes time to make. A day or two, no more. I will send word when it's prepared."
