The crowd had parted due to the arrival of one young Lannister woman and the knight escorting her, Ser Geron Marbrand.
"We are looking for a man named Jaer, who works the docks during the day," she said pleasantly to the barkeep. She placed a silver coin down on the counter, but didn't let it out of her grasp just yet.
"Over there, and I hope the lad's not done anything to offend House Lannister," said the barkeep, arching a greying eyebrow. He pointed directly at the man in question. Yes, he did look Tyroshi, Toria noted.
Toria pushed the coin toward the barkeep. "Not at all. I simply heard he had particular skills and was hoping to hire him."
Approaching the table in the corner, Toria ignored the stares. Ser Geron stayed behind her, but at a close enough distance to easily offer his protection. She walked toward the table with her head held high. After all, she wasn't here for any shady dealings. She was here to do what could be done to save her cousin.
"Jaer, I presume?" she said, looking the man directly in the eyes when they reached his table. "I am Lady Toria Lannister."
