Lord Lannister considers. Who: Tyrith Lannister, others When: Day 17, afternoon Where: The Red Keep, Tyrith's rooms. Rating: pg Status: OPEN
Tyrith read over the papers his steward had sent from Casterly Rock with an expression of grim resignation. The plague had not gone easy with his smallfolk and the miners had been hit more severly than he would have thought. Seven take it, they would have to hire more workers... and from where? There was going to be a shortage of men in the coming months. Too many dead always meant prices went up. He scowled. He didn't need this. He had Jeremy to send off to squire, Toria to find a husband for, and Tyronne to find a wife for. Not the best time to take a hit to the resources. Although being brother-in-law to the prospective King and active King Regent would help.
Still. Things were uneasy enough without adding in overly brave workers and problems with the harvests. Maybe he should send Toria through all of their holdings with some bread and silver. His lady wife too, probably...
And while he was thinking of it, someone should start hinting that Lord Penrose was perhaps not so effecient as Hand as others might be.
A sound interrupted Tyrith's thoughts and he glanced up with a glare. "This had better be-- Oh." His expression altered to one more pleasant as he realized it wasn't one of his servants. "Well this is unexpected."
