"SHIELD has standards? News." It was another odd sort of joke. However, at the same time it was a joke that spoke to how little the tank thought of the organization in general as well. America had never been too keen on the organization to begin with, but mostly kept her mouth shut regarding considering it seemed like nearly all the runaway crew was now ingrained with them in some way. They seemed... Too structured for her tastes, and honestly that was why she had oddly been on the outskirts of the Avengers the entire time she'd been a member... Even if she was vaguely beginning to sincerely consider herself a member of their team.
"I hear that." The words were full commiseration. Though, the joke angled towards that kids movie - America hadn't teared up, not at all (only she totally had) - earned a brief, throaty laugh. "Just let me know who doesn't need a head." The offer was sincere, and America really had no patience for anyone jerking Nico around. Especially after.... Wait no. Not for tonight.
There was a slight shrug given to the question at first as fingers shifted the glass that was before her around briefly. It was something to keep her mind from wandering too far from where they were.
"It's superheroing. Less heroing and more PI-ing since getting back though." Which was true, since last November America had been making good on her promise to Karolina to stick around, and cement her life being in this universe. Even if sometimes it drove her fucking nuts. "Keeps the bills paid." And it allowed her to keep an eye on Kate too.
