Hello Doctor,
I think maybe we should have a talk. More specifically, about an application of your area of expertise.
Let me know if you have the time. -Reed

Hello Susan,
I'm sure the subject line has led you to a sound conclusion about the contents of this email, but I do believe the big project is nearly finished. I think we should start a custom, whereby I apologize with champagne and sandwiches?
I'm pretty excited about this one though. Could be big, just need to run a few more tests, but I was sending out emails and thought I'd send youjust thinking of you andthinking about food. Which always serves as a good milestone when it comes to how close a project is to being done. And it reminds me of how I can bury myself in my work sometimes. This phenomenon -- which, can we not name it and just agree that it happens? -- can often encompass a wide array of events and generally underlines that I may not have been paying the proper attention to. Like you.
I would like to fix that. Spend more time with you, that is.
Also, do you think I could ever manage a beard?
That final question is not relevant to any other piece of this message. Just a curiosity.
