WHO: Susan Storm and Reed Richards
WHAT: Unexpected date lunch!
WHEN: Today the 13th
WHERE: Baxter Building
RATING: Probably light!
Sue knew quite a few things about being around geniuses, and one of them was that if she wanted something to happen, she had to make it. She'd been resolved from the day she set her cap on Reed Richards to know that she was the driver of the relationship. He was the clueless but willing passenger. That was just how it worked. So when he'd been absorbed in work for a few days, Sue decided a break was in order and wandered into his lab. It wasn't that she sat around waiting for him to be free. She was hard at work finishing her PhD, and it wasn't easy for her own schedule to juggle research, work, and a public persona. She was hoping to put the full power of her social niceties on the line too to help with the community forum. They had a lot of balls in the air, but if anyone could juggle it, it'd be the two of them. She came in to the lab and immediately side stepped items on the floor, because things had a way of getting in disarray there if she didn't come tidy occasionally. She knew every inch of this place as if it belonged to her as well. She had a big takeout bag with her and two energy drinks, setting it to the side for now so she could clean off a table. She was careful about the papers there, she knew every one could potentially be very important, and set it easily to the side where it could just as quickly be put where it was before when they were through. "Excuse me, Mr. Fantastic, but you need a break. I got Chinese, and extra so you can eat leftovers later. I'll text you to remember in about ten hours." But for right now his attention would have to be on her. Her patience only went so far. Sue smiled warmly at him and started setting up, having thought of every piece of the makeshift lab picnic they were about to have. Her long blonde hair was pulled up in a pony tail, sensible wear as usual with a skirt to her knees and flat shoes. "Which project are you working on at the moment?" He always had a few going on at once. It was hard to keep track of them, but she tried. |
